Description |
Front and side of Nurses' Home. The building was a bequest of Edward Latta, an architect out of Charlotte who moved to Asheville, ended up in the hospital all while being impressed by the efficacy of the nursing staff. An area of Biltmore Avenue (Latta Block-1923) just south of Pack Sqare were constructed by Latta. The building is considered the best example of non-domestic Neo-Georgian arhcitecture in Asheville. |
